The morons who think these techniques are part of a hermetic conspiracy never heard recordings of William Jennings Bryan, Robert LaFollette, or FDR. They never saw “Inherit the Wind” or “Twelve Angry Men.” They’re accustomed to the soporifics of Ike and Carter, or fumblemouth Dubya; anything competent looks like a conspiracy to them. Yeah; a Conspiracy of Capability. All Limbaugh knows are character assassination, racial fulmination, and ad hominem arguments; thank God our elections aren’t held on radio. I wonder what he’d look like after Teddy or Franklin Roosevelt got a hold of him for two broadcast minutes–all you’d find would be little bloody tatters. Was Reagan such a hypnotist, too? Take away what they impute to Obama and you’d have Alf Landon or Jimmy Carter, just about the right opponent for a pygmy like Rush and his Limburgers.
